The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission(NERC), said the Electricity Distribution Companies DisCos, in Nigeria delivered about 308,106 meters to their customers between May and June 2026. NERC disclosed this in its latest Metering Status of Distribution Companies Factsheet for May and June 2026. According to the report, the number of active electricity customers increased by 0.55 per cent from 12.52 million in May to 12.59 million in June, while metered customers rose to 7,743,839 leaving roughly 4.85 million customers unmetered. NERC said the figures reflected continued progress in customer metering as DisCos work to reduce the metering gap and reliance on estimated billing.
