The 2026 Kogi State Civil Service Week is scheduled to begin September 25 and it is expected to feature special prayers, a visit to an orphanage, a road walk and an Award Night. The State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, disclosed this during a meeting with members of the Main Organising Committee in her office in Lokoja. She said arrangements had been concluded for the activities and urged members of the committee to remain committed to their responsibilities to ensure a successful celebration. The European Union has expressed interest in investing in a water transportation hub linking Lagos-Ikorodu with Ajaokuta in Kogi State. The EU delegation, led by Mr. Massimo De Luca, Head of Partnership, EU to Nigeria and ECOWAS, made this known when he visited the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in Lokoja. Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Governor, the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, welcomed the proposed investment and assured the team that Kogi State was ready to partner with genuine investors to harness development potential in the state.
