Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat, has inspected ongoing construction works on the major access road leading to the proposed Kogi State Airport in Zariagi, as well as the airport terminal construction site. This is part of efforts to monitor progress and ensure that the projects conform with approved specifications and construction standards. The inspection covers two key components of the airport development plan which are the road infrastructure required to connect the facility to the wider transport network and the terminal infrastructure being developed at the airport site. The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has said Saudi Arabia, Russia and five other major oil producers will retain their September 2026 required production levels in October. The decision was taken by the seven OPEC+ countries that had previously announced additional voluntary production adjustments in April and November 2023. Representatives of the seven countries—Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman—held a virtual meeting to assess developments in the global oil market and its outlook.
