Abubakar Bashir Gegu has launched the Native Boy Care Initiative, a grassroots-driven platform to support vulnerable members of the society across Kogi State.‎‎The initiative was officially unveiled in Lokoja with its first major intervention involving the payment of school fees for 20 indigent students of Kogi State Polytechnic.‎‎Speaking at the launch, Gegu, described the platform as a demonstration of grassroots commitment to reducing the financial burden on indigent families and ensuring that young people remain in school.‎‎He said the initiative was founded on the philosophy of supporting the people at the grassroots, stressing that those who...

The Kogi State Government has organized a four-day free medical screening exercise for staff of the Government House, Office of the Deputy Governor, and that of the First Lady as part of efforts to promote workers’ welfare and enhance productivity in the state. The exercise, organized by the State Ministry of Health targeted civil servants, security personnel and others within the Government House. The exercise covered examinations of Body Mass Index, evaluation of blood pressure and blood sugar levels, viral screening and eye examinations among others.
