Federal Government has unveiled 14 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles to enhance Nigeria’s counter-terrorism operations and improve the operational capacity of security forces in tackling insurgency and other security threats. The armoured vehicles were presented as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military operations and provide better protection for troops deployed to conflict-prone areas across the country. The MRAP vehicles are specifically designed to withstand landmine blasts, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and ambush attacks, making them suitable for counter-terrorism and anti-insurgency operations.
