Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has restated commitment to fostering an environment where all residents can thrive irrespective of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. The Governor gave the assurance while receiving leaders of the Igbo Community in Kogi State on a courtesy visit at the Government House, Lokoja. Governor Ododo said his administration remains committed to promoting unity, peaceful coexistence, and equal opportunities for all citizens and residents of the state, stressing that Kogi's diversity remains one of its greatest strengths. He commended the Igbo community for its unity, transparency, enterprise, and contributions to the socio-economic development of the state, describing its members as hardworking, law-abiding, and dependable...

FG Begins Mass Trial Of Terrorism Suspects

The Federal Government has commenced mass trial of suspected terrorists with alleged terrorism-related offences at the Federal High Court in Abuja. It was gathered that over 400 of the suspected terrorists would be arraigned simultaneously at the Federal High Court with different judges. The trials are expected to run for one week, with Justices Binta Nyako, Emeka Nwite, Musa Liman, James Omotosho, Obiora Egwuatu, and Ekerete Akpan among the bench of judges handling the proceedings. The prosecution is being led by the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, while the Director-General of the Legal Aid Council, Aliyu Abubakar, headed the defence team.
