Rashford Hails Amorim’s Impact as Manchester United Thrash Everton 4-0

Marcus Rashford believes Manchester United are already feeling the positive effects of Ruben Amorim’s arrival as head coach after their dominant 4-0 victory over Everton on Sunday. Rashford scored twice in the emphatic win, marking a crucial milestone in Amorim’s unbeaten start at the helm. The Portuguese coach has energised the squad, with Rashford expressing his growing confidence in the team’s potential under the new regime. “I feel energised and ready for the next game,” he told Sky Sports after the match.

The Old Trafford victory saw United move up to ninth in the Premier League, just four points shy of the Champions League spots, but the real story lies in the transformation Amorim has sparked in the squad. Despite a rollercoaster of performances under Erik ten Hag, Rashford is thriving in Amorim’s system. “We are still learning, but it’s important to back up this performance,” he added, highlighting the promise of what’s to come as United players continue to adapt to their new manager’s style.

Rashford’s double against Everton was the latest in a string of crucial goals since Amorim’s appointment, following a hard-fought Europa League win over Bodo/Glimt and a draw with Ipswich. His resurgence is a testament to the manager’s influence, as the forward credits Amorim’s “great attitude” for revitalising the squad. “The connection is growing the more we get used to him,” Rashford said, emphasising the importance of building team chemistry as they adjust to the new tactics.

Despite the commanding scoreline, Amorim himself wasn’t entirely satisfied with United’s performance. Reflecting on the match, he admitted that while the result was positive, the team’s display lacked fluidity. “It wasn’t pretty, but we did our job,” he said. Amorim noted the moments of struggle in the game, particularly in the early minutes when Everton controlled play before United found their rhythm. “We need time to improve, but it’s better to work with victories,” he concluded.

With Amorim’s reign still in its infancy, Rashford and his teammates are brimming with optimism. While the road ahead is likely to be filled with challenges, the early signs of progress under their new coach are clear. As Rashford put it, “The atmosphere is one of the most special things about this club,” and with the team’s growing belief in Amorim’s vision, United fans can look forward to a thrilling season ahead.
