The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State during the weekend held a crucial stakeholders’ meeting for the Kogi Central Senatorial District in Okene, with party leaders, elders and members affirming their loyalty to the party and its leadership.
The meeting, convened by the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, was described as a platform to create awareness, strengthen party unity and evaluate the party’s position ahead of future political engagements.
Addressing the gathering, Alhaji Bello expressed satisfaction with the massive turnout, noting that it was a clear indication that the APC remained the party of choice for the people of Kogi State.
“As a party in government, we need constant engagement with the people to assess our strength and renew our bond with the masses. Judging from the turnout today, it is clear that APC is still the party to beat anytime, any day. We are grateful for the genuine love the people have for our party, our leader, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and our governor, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose good works are already being appreciated across the state,” he said.
The meeting also witnessed key endorsements from party stakeholders. Hon. Kabiru Ajanah, former House of Representatives member for Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, moved a motion declaring Alhaji Yahaya Bello as the “leader of the APC in Kogi State.”
He further moved a motion that the stakeholders endorse the second term bid of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and also reaffirm their total support for the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello.
