Outgoing Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Ebenezer Adurodija, was on Tuesday honoured in Lokoja at an event marking his retirement from the civil service, birthday celebration and the launch of his four-volume book series, titled Adurodija’s Collection.

The event drew top government officials, dignitaries, colleagues, and friends who paid glowing tributes to his exceptional service and intellectual contributions.
In a keynote address, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo praised Adurodija’s dedication to service and his transformative role in shaping affairs of the ministry.
He described the outgoing Permanent Secretary as “a visionary leader whose contributions will continue to inspire generations.”
Fanwo also announced the appointment of Adurodija as Technical Adviser to the Kogi State Government, a move widely regarded as strategic and aimed at leveraging his vast experience and expertise.

In his remarks, Adurodija expressed deep gratitude to the Kogi state government, colleagues, and his family for their support throughout his career, describing his journey as one defined by impact rather than titles.
“Service is not measured in years, but in compassion and sacrifice,” he said, urging Nigerians to embrace humanity and purpose-driven leadership.
He explained that the Adurodija’s Collection serves as a bridge between the past, present, and the future, exploring themes such as leadership, media, religion, identity, and personal transformation.
Book reviewers, including Dr. Tope Joel and Dr. Sam Metigboba, commended the Adurodija’s Collection for its depth and versatility, describing it as a thought-provoking contribution to intellectual and personal growth.
They highlighted the book’s wide-ranging insights on emotional intelligence, identity, self-discovery, politics, and human relationships, praising its ability to challenge readers to “think differently” and embrace new perspectives.
The ceremony concluded with gift presentations and glowing tributes from dignitaries, colleagues, and well-wishers, celebrating Adurodija’s dual legacy as a seasoned public servant and an intellectual leader.
