Ododo Celebrates Olusoji as Philanthropist Bags Humanitarian Award

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has felicitated with the Chairman of Grosvenor Group of Companies and foremost philanthropist, Prince Olatunji Olusoji who was recently honoured for his humanitarian services by Vine University.

Speaking at the ceremony held at the institution, Governor Ododo who was represented by the Commissioner for Energy and Rural Development, Engr. Abdulmutalib Muhammad, described the recognition as “both a crown and a call” saying it is a crown for what Prince Olusoji had accomplished and a call to continue serving humanity with greater vigour.

He said the honour was a testament to the awardee’s enduring commitment to philanthropy and development, adding that Prince Olusoji’s interventions had touched lives across different sectors.

Governor Ododo emphasised that true recognition is earned through selfless service and dedication to the welfare of others, noting that Prince Olusoji’s record stood out as an inspiration to younger generations.

He urged the awardee to continue in his path of service, stressing that leaders are remembered most for the impact they leave on humanity.

Responding, Prince Olusoji expressed gratitude for the honour, describing it as a privilege and motivation to do more.

“My life is about service to people. This recognition will only encourage me to continue to live a life of impact. When God gives you opportunity, always remember your people. I want to leave behind a lasting legacy for generations to come,” he stated.

He further advised Nigerian leaders to put the interests of the people above personal gains, noting that leadership is best measured by service to humanity.

“One great attribute of a leader is when you put the interests of your people before your own. We should not think of ourselves, we should always think of humanity. To me, everything about me is humanity,” he added.

Prince Olusoji assured that the recognition would propel him to expand his humanitarian efforts, pledging to remain committed to touching lives and building a legacy of impact.
