Ibaji Stakeholders Reaffirm Support for Tinubu, Ododo Ahead of 2027 Elections

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibaji Local Government Area have restated their support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, pledging to work for their reelection in 2027.

The commitment was made during a stakeholders’ meeting themed “Project 2027: Let’s Reelect Tinubu and Ododo,” with a large turnout of party stalwarts, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and political appointees across the local government area.

Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Egwaba, who presided over the meeting, said the meeting was convened to strengthen unity and chart a common course toward sustainable development in Ibaji.

She reaffirmed that the APC remains the dominant force in the area, adding that “peace, unity, and continuity” are key to achieving the party’s goals ahead of the next general elections.

She disclosed that the state government is set to execute developmental projects in eight communities in Ibaji, focusing on education, electrification, and rural infrastructure.

She further noted that every ward in Ibaji already enjoys fair representation in Governor Ododo’s administration and announced that a ward-to-ward campaign would commence soon to consolidate grassroots support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Hon. Timothy Ojomah, urged party members to remain focused and united, describing Governor Ododo’s leadership as people-oriented and responsive.

He commended the governor’s swift intervention during the recent boat mishap in Ibaji and stressed that the visible transformation under the current administration justifies the people’s renewed confidence in both Governor Ododo and President Tinubu.

Other speakers, including Ibaji APC Chairman Hon. Omale Thankgod and the Executive Chairman of Ibaji local government area, Hon. Emmanuel Onuche, echoed the call for peace, loyalty, and collective action to ensure victory for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in 2027
