Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his visionary leadership and remarkable development strides across Ekiti State.
Governor Ododo stated this on Tuesday during the commissioning of the Ikere–Ilawe Road Project and the renovated General Hospital, Ilawe-Ekiti, describing the event as a celebration of vision, leadership and the spirit of service to the people.
He applauded Governor Oyebanji for his visible and impactful achievements in infrastructure, health, education, and youth development, noting that the transformation witnessed across Ekiti State reflects clear vision and commitment to the welfare of the people.
Governor Ododo explained that the 20.65-kilometre Ikere–Ilawe Road, which began in 2022 but stalled at 15 percent completion before the change of administration, is now a symbol of continuity and people-focused leadership.
“That this project is being commissioned today is a powerful statement that when a leader is progressive, people-focused, and forward-looking, development continues regardless of political transitions,” Ododo noted.
The Governor equally lauded the renovation of the Ilawe General Hospital, describing it as a testament to Oyebanji’s commitment to quality healthcare delivery and his belief that a healthy population is the foundation of a productive society.
He urged the people of Ekiti State to take ownership of the projects, protect them, and continue to support the Oyebanji-led administration in its quest to deliver the dividends of democracy.
“Governor Oyebanji came prepared, and his humility, service, and good heart towards his people make him an indomitable asset to the progressive family. Even if his opponents do not admit it publicly, they know that BAO has bowed their heads with his great performance,” he stated.
Governor Ododo also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his bold and transformative policies that have strengthened state governments to deliver development at the subnational level.
