The State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), disclosed this while on an inspection tour of major points along the Abuja–Lokoja highway.

He stated that 7 kilometres of road have already been opened, with an additional 9 kilometres expected to be completed by December 10.

He stated that the repairs reflect the government’s commitment to improving mobility across key routes in the state.

He added that the company is working diligently to meet the project deadlines.

He noted that the FRSC is preparing for increased vehicular movement during the Yuletide season and has put necessary traffic management measures in place.

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Alesan Ebenezer, also assured the public of the agency’s readiness to collaborate with other security bodies to strengthen road safety and overall security throughout the festive period.
