NBA Lauds Ododo on Commitment to Rule of Law, Good Governance

The Lokoja Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has commended Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unwavering commitment to the rule of law and the promotion of good governance across the state.

The commendation was made during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Association to the Governor at the Government House in Lokoja where they applauded the strides of the Ododo administration in governance and strengthening institutional framework.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, the Chairman of the Lokoja Branch, Barrister Sumaila Abbas, praised Governor Ododo for what he described as verifiable achievements across key sectors of the state’s economy.

He noted that the administration’s respect for the rule of law has strengthened public trust in governance and reinforced confidence in democratic institutions.

Barrister Abbas further assured the Governor of the NBA’s continued support in advancing policies that promote justice, equity, and sustainable development.

He emphasized that while the Association remains a partner in progress, it will continue to offer constructive guidance through appropriate channels when necessary, in line with its statutory role as a stakeholder in the governance of the state.

In his response, Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to the Association for its recognition and support, reaffirming further commitment to uphold the rule of law and sustaining policies that promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive development.

He urged the NBA to deepen its collaboration with the State Ministry of Justice, particularly the office of the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, to further strengthen the justice delivery system in Kogi State.

Governor Ododo reiterated his resolve to remain steadfast in service to the people, stressing that his administration is focused on building a just, secure, and prosperous state.
