The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, and other top government and private sector leaders, are expected to speak at the upcoming Invest Lagos Summit 3.0, aimed at attracting global investment into the state.

The summit is scheduled to hold on June 8 and 9, 2026, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, and is expected to host hundreds of investors, policymakers, and business executives from across the world.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, who recently unveiled the summit in partnership with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), said the platform is designed to strengthen Lagos’ position as Africa’s leading investment destination and convert investment discussions into real economic projects.

The state government has also projected that the summit could unlock about $2.5 billion in local and foreign investment opportunities, with key focus areas including infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, and the creative economy.

Taiwo Oyedele, a leading fiscal policy expert and tax reform advocate, is among the high-profile speakers expected to deliver keynote insights on economic reforms, taxation, and strategies for improving Nigeria’s investment climate.

Other speakers and stakeholders include senior government officials, global investors, development partners, and private sector leaders, all expected to engage in deal-making sessions and policy discussions aimed at driving sustainable economic growth in Lagos.

The summit is part of the state’s broader strategy to position Lagos as a “21st-century economy,” with structured investment pipelines, improved infrastructure financing, and stronger public-private partnerships.

Officials say the event will also feature deal rooms where investors can directly engage with government representatives on viable projects across different sectors.
