Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has again demonstrated its growing reputation for academic excellence as one of its law graduates, Miss John Progress Chubiyojo, earned a First Class in the recently concluded Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School.
The achievement was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Uredo Omale.
According to the statement, Chubiyojo, graduated as the 3rd Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Law in the 2023/2024 Academic Session before proceeding to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, where she distinguished herself with a First Class performance.
Chubiyojo is expected to be formally called to the Nigerian Bar on Friday, 10th July, 2026, at the Body of Benchers Complex, Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja.
Reacting to the achievement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the feat as a proud moment for the Institution, saying it reflects the University’s commitment to academic excellence and professional development.
He congratulated Miss Chubiyojo on the exceptional accomplishment, noting that her success was a product of hard work, discipline, resilience, and endless commitment to academic excellence.
The Vice Chancellor also commended the Dean, Head of Department and the Lecturers in the Faculty of Law for their commitment to academic excellence while also urging them to sustain the culture of excellence that has continued to distinguish the faculty.
Prof. Usman further reaffirmed the University’s commitment to providing an enabling environment that nurtures excellence and supports students in achieving their academic and professional aspiration.
He added that the Management would continue to recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements by students and alumni whose accomplishments would continue to enhance the University’s image and strengthen its reputation for academic excellence.
