The Win With Tinubu (WWT) Project in Kogi State on Thursday held a Town Hall Meeting in Idah, bringing together supporters, community leaders and political stakeholders from the Idah/Igalamela-Odolu/Ibaji/Ofu Federal Constituency as the group steps up grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, held at the Mary Pat Event Centre in Sabongari, Idah, was part of WWT’s ongoing engagement campaign across Kogi East. Organisers said the initiative is aimed at taking political and policy discussions beyond major urban centres and directly into local communities.
The day’s activities began with a courtesy visit to the palace of the Attah Igala, where members of the WWT delegation paid homage to the traditional institution before proceeding to the main venue. Organisers described the visit as a demonstration of the project’s recognition of the important role traditional institutions play in grassroots engagement.
The Town Hall attracted a large gathering of WWT supporters and admirers of President Tinubu, many of whom appeared in branded T-shirts and caps. Organisers said the turnout reflected the growing visibility and organisational presence of the project across the constituency.
Representing the WWT Kogi State Chairman, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, the State Coordinator of the project, Hon. Sani Philips, presented an overview of the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
His presentation focused on key areas including infrastructure, agriculture, education, youth and student support, economic development, employment generation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and national security.
Philips also discussed the broader policy direction of the administration and called for continued public engagement and improved grassroots communication between government and citizens. Other co-chairmen of the project were also represented at the meeting.
Organisers said the Town Hall was not limited to political mobilisation but also provided an avenue for direct interaction between WWT officials and residents of the constituency. They emphasised the importance of strengthening communication between political structures and the electorate across Kogi State’s three senatorial districts.
The Idah meeting is the latest in a series of constituency-level Town Halls being organised by WWT Kogi. According to the project, the next engagement will be held in the Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency, followed by the Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, as the initiative expands its activities to other federal constituencies across the state.
WWT Kogi described the Idah gathering as a strong demonstration of grassroots support and expressed confidence that the momentum generated from the meeting would continue through the subsequent stages of its Town Hall series.
