Jurgen Klopp secured his first victory as Germany manager at the third attempt as his side defeated Serbia in the Nations League.
Klopp’s team had previously drawn with the Netherlands before suffering a defeat to Greece, but a revamped squad returned to winning ways in Munich.
The former Liverpool manager had named a 44-man squad for the four fixtures, with several players brought into the starting lineup following the previous game.
Tom Bischof opened the scoring for Germany with a powerful finish after Florian Wirtz had struck the post.
Wirtz, who delivered an impressive performance throughout the match, doubled Germany’s advantage after producing a brilliant first touch inside the box to create space for the finish.
Celtic midfielder Mika Baur also made history when he came on, becoming the 1,000th player to earn a cap for the Germany men’s national team.
