The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, has assured students of the University’s readiness for the commencement of the Second Semester Examinations for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, scheduled to begin on Thursday July 9, 2026.

This was disclosed on Tuesday in a statement by the Information, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the University.

According to the statement, the Vice-Chancellor gave the assurance today, during an interactive meeting with members of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and faculty representatives at the University’s campus in Osara.

During the meeting, the student leaders presented issues affecting students welfare ahead of the examinations, including inadequate water supply on campus and some challenges at the University Health Centre.

Responding, Prof. Salawu assured the students that the University Management remains committed to providing a conducive environment for learning and examinations.

He immediately directed that urgent steps be taken to address the identified challenges.

Following the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor also inspected key facilities across the campus to assess their level of preparedness for the examination period and to ensure that essential services were functioning effectively.

At the University Health Centre, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Ibrahim Oniwon Yahaya, alongside the Provost, College of Medical Sciences, Prof. Solomon Avidime, assured the Vice-Chancellor and the students that the Health Centre was adequately prepared to provide uninterrupted medical services to students throughout the examination period and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of the students, the President of the Students’ Representative Council, Comrade Abdullahi Zulqarnain, commended the Vice-Chancellor for his prompt response to students’ concerns and his commitment to ensuring a safe, secure and student-friendly campus environment.
