KOGI SECURITY TRUST FUND TO PARTNER NIPR ON STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION

The Chairman of Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Air Vice Marshal Umar Omeiza (Rtd), has expressed the readiness of the organization to partner the State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to advance the gains of strategic communications by the organization.

He stated this when he hosted the state chapter of the NIPR in his office in Lokoja.

Umar stressed that his organization concentrates on providing enablers for the security agencies in the state to be more effective in their efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

He said the State Security Trust Fund has sustained the provision of necessary logistical support to ensure intensified commitment to the protection of lives and property, noting that since his assumption of office, he has ensured that those tasked with the safety of lives and property get what is required to perform their duties for the good of the state.

He urged members of NIPR in the state not to hesitate to reach to him in any area they wish to collaborate with the agency to further promote the activities of the agency and ensure improved funding for the organization.

Speaking earlier on the essence of the visit, the Chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the NIPR Ismaila Isah intimated the management of the Security Trust Fund that NIPR encourages continuous development and professionalism among practitioners to excell in their craft.

He noted that Public Relations practitioners attract goodwill for organizations where they work through strategic communications and engagements.

He stated that public relations must be treated as a management function and practitioners should be encouraged to be part of decision making for the good of their organizations.
