Okun leaders Seek Support for Gov. Ododo’s Re-election at Okun Unity Dialogue

Ahead of the November 2027 Governorship election in Kogi State, stakeholders from Okun land have solicited the support of Okun sons and daughters for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Philanthropist and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Olatunji Olusoji led the backing of the Governor at the 2026 Okun Unity Dialogue held in Abuja.

Olusoji stressed the need for the people of Okun land to give Governor Ododo total support for his reelection bid in 2027.

Addressing participants at the event, Olusoji noted that Governor Ododo is a man of integrity and will not disappoint the people of Kogi West Senatorial District when their turn comes in 2031.

“We must support Governor Ododo one hundred percent, after he has emerged then we will add our voice. I always tell you people that I know him, he is a man of integrity, he is a godly man who fears God. He is a man who knows where he is coming from”, he said.

Olusoji stated that the Governor has an humane disposition, stressing that the people Okun land have a point to hold on to in supporting the Governor for a second term in office.

He described Governor Ododo as a promise keeper who will not disappoint the people of Kogi West when it is time to help the people.

Also in his remarks, the State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) noted that the people of Okun land need to deploy political intelligence and recognize the fact that Five Local Government cannot win Governorship election for the Okun nation.

He pointed out that for Okun to be Governor, “we must be strategic, and not be deceived by selfish politicians who are known for causing division among the people.

He tasked Okun traditional rulers to take the lead by meeting with their counterparts in the Central Senatorial District to reach an agreement on getting their support for Kogi West Gubernatorial Ambition ahead of the elections.
