The 2026 Kogi State Civil Service Week is scheduled to begin September 25 and it is expected to feature special prayers, a visit to an orphanage, a road walk and an Award Night.
The State Head of Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa, disclosed this during a meeting with members of the Main Organising Committee in her office in Lokoja.
She said arrangements had been concluded for the activities and urged members of the committee to remain committed to their responsibilities to ensure a successful celebration.
The programme will begin on Friday, September 25, with special Juma’at prayers.
On Saturday, September 26, members of the organising committee and other participants will visit an orphanage, while special Christian prayers for the Civil Service Week will be held on Sunday, September 27.
A road walk is scheduled for Monday, September 28, while the celebration will culminate in an Award Night on Wednesday, September 30.
The Head of Service urged civil servants across the state to participate actively in the activities, describing the week as an opportunity for workers to celebrate themselves and appreciate their contributions to the development of Kogi State.
“Let’s celebrate ourselves together as civil servants. The Civil Service Week is our own,” she said.
Hajiya Falilat also commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for giving civil servants a sense of belonging under his administration.
