Gov. Ododo Donates Electric Tricycles, Motorbikes to CUSTECH

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has donated electric-powered tricycles and motorbikes to the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, to ease transportation within the campus.

The intervention is expected to provide staff and students with a cheaper and more accessible means of movement within the university.

The Vice-Chancellor of CUSTECH, Prof. Abdulrahman Salawu, commended Governor Ododo for the intervention, describing it as another demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of staff and students.

Salawu said the vehicles would help address transportation challenges facing the university community and reduce the cost of movement within the campus.

He said the road network across the university campus would also facilitate effective use of the vehicles.

Salawu also noted that the electric-powered vehicles would promote cleaner transportation within the university, describing them as noiseless and environmentally-friendly.

He urged staff and students to protect and properly use the vehicles, saying the intervention would complement ongoing efforts to improve welfare and infrastructure in the university.

The University Registrar, Glory Yakubu, also commended Governor Ododo for his interventions in the university, recalling that the Governor had recently commenced the construction of staff quarters on the campus.

Yakubu said the provision of the electric tricycles and motorbikes would further improve the daily movement of staff and students within the university campus.
