The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), has received
Seven Nigerian entrepreneurs who represented the country at the SEE Pakistan 2026 World Startup Championship in Lahore.

The entrepreneurs were received by the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of NBTI, Dr Kazeem Kolawole Raji, following their return from the international startup competition.

The board said the entrepreneurs performance demonstrated the depth of talent, creativity, enterprise and technological ingenuity within Nigeria’s emerging innovation ecosystem.

The SEE Pakistan 2026 championship brought together startups, entrepreneurs, investors, mentors and innovation stakeholders on an international platform designed to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, visibility and global collaboration.

The seven entrepreneurs were later presented to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, where their international achievement was formally showcased.

Speaking at the reception, Raji congratulated the entrepreneurs for their resilience, professionalism, determination and exceptional representation of Nigeria on the international stage.

He described their achievement as a reflection of the enormous creative and entrepreneurial capacity of Nigerian youths and innovators.

According to him, the success went beyond individual accomplishment demonstrating what could be achieved through innovation, incubation, mentorship, institutional support and entrepreneurial determination.

The NBTI said the achievement was consistent with the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s technology, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The board stressed that building a globally competitive, innovation-driven economy required more than policies, noting the importance of deliberate investment in people, institutions, technology, entrepreneurship, research, product development, incubation, commercialisation and access to international markets.
