My Administration Will Continue to Reward Loyalty, Commitment – Gov. Ododo

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has assured supporters that his administration will continue to recognize and reward those who have remained loyal and dedicated to the government and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Ododo made this known during a solidarity visit by a delegation of Kogi Advocacy for Women and Youth Development from the APC in Lokoja.

The Governor expressed appreciation to the group for their support before, during and after the last general elections.

“This government will never take for granted the efforts of those who believe in our journey and have stayed with us through thick and thin. I am here today because of the support from people like you. We will continue to open doors for you and others who have proven to be consistent and loyal to the party and the vision we share,” he stated.

He urged the group to sustain their efforts in mobilising and educating people at the grassroots about the development strides being undertaken by the present administration across the state.

Governor Ododo reiterated his administration’s resolve to restore the lost glory of Lokoja, the state capital, describing it as both a strategic gateway to the nation and a city of deep historical significance.

“Lokoja is the face of Kogi State. It is the gateway to the North, South, East, and West. Historically, it was here Nigeria was birthed. But look around, Lokoja does not reflect its position as a capital city. That must change, and under my administration, it will,” he added.

Earlier, the President of the group, Hajia Fatima Abdulkareem Allah Dey, expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for his support to women and youths across the state.

She described the meeting as a motivation to continue supporting the government, noting that the visit has renewed their hope and commitment as members of the APC.

“We are grateful for this opportunity. Many of us have been around supporting the government silently, and this chance to interface with His Excellency means a lot to us. It has encouraged us to keep doing more,” she said.

Similarly, the Youth Leader of the group Muhammed Muhammed commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for prioritizing inclusive governance and creating opportunities for grassroots engagement.

He noted that many of the youths and women in the group have remained committed to the party even during challenging periods.

“This meeting is very important to us. It has reassured our members that their sacrifices are noticed. We are ready to do more to spread the good works of this administration to every part of the state,” he added.
