Governor Ododo Concludes Three-Day Fidau Prayer in Honour of Late Father

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has concluded a three-day Fidau prayer in honour of his late father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani, who died on Monday at the age of 83.

The Islamic prayer sessions, held in the Governor’s hometown of Okene, drew dignitaries, religious leaders, politicians, traditional rulers, and thousands of sympathizers from across the state and beyond.

The ceremony featured Qur’anic recitations, sermons, and heartfelt admonitions by prominent Islamic scholars led by the Chief Imam of Ebira land, Alhaji Salihu Abere.

Governor Ododo described his late father as a pillar of strength and a man of deep faith who instilled in his children the values of honesty, hard work, and service to humanity.

“We are not here to mourn my father but to celebrate the fulfilled life, legacy of integrity and compassion he left behind;
we thank everyone who stood by us during this difficult time”, the Governor said.

Governor Ododo expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, thanking well-wishers for their prayers and solidarity.

He also extended his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support during this trying period, pledging that his administration will continue to advance and reposition the state’s economy in the interest of the people.

The Governor of Taraba State, Kefas Agbu offered prayers for the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani, acknowledging the the exemplary life which he said is evident in Governor Ododo as a worthy son.

The Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello expressed gratitude to God for the life lived by the late patriarch.

He noted that it is the wish of every parents to live to see children prosper and successful especially when the children are fulfilling the wish of their parents.

He also praised Governor Ododo’s leadership style, praying that the Ododo administration would surpass previous achievements as Governor of Kogi State.

Bello encouraged continued prayers and support for the Governor’s administration and thanked the President for his backing, assuring that Kogi State will reciprocate the support in like measure.

The former National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, lauded the deceased as a man of integrity who led an exemplary life and raised children who are following in his footsteps.
