Kogi Accountant General Leads Officials to Condole Okehi LG Chairman Over Mother’s Passing

The Accountant General of Kogi State, Dr. Habibat Oyiza Onumoko, has led a delegation of government officials on a condolence visit to the chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday over the death of his mother, Mama Rekiya Alice Amoka.

Dr. Habibat noted that the visit was to show compassion, solidarity, and shared humanity in times of grief to the Okehi local government chairman and members of his family.

Hon. Amoka, visibly moved by the show of support, expressed gratitude to Dr. Habibat and her entourage for setting aside their demanding schedules to identify with his family.

He described their gesture as proof that leadership is not only about governance but also about standing by one another in moments of grief.

He further stressed that such demonstrations of unity and empathy are in line with the values being championed by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

According to him, the condolence visit reflects a government that seeks to foster brotherhood, love, and collective strength among its people.

He said the best way to immortalize Mama Rekiya Alice Amoka was to build on the legacy of unity and resilience she inspired in her community.

The Okehi LG boss prayed for divine blessings upon all who had extended their support to his family during the period of bereavement, noting that the comfort from friends, colleagues, and associates had strengthened his resolve to continue serving his people with renewed dedication.

The visit by the Accountant General attracted several other senior government officials, including the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Adams Adabenege, and General Manager of the Kogi State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA) Hon. Ibrahim Abdulsalam, among others.
