Governor Ododo prayed for the repose of her soul and urged her family, friends, and professional associates to find solace in the impact she made during her lifetime. He emphasized that her dedication to truth, humanity, and service would not be forgotten.

Hajia Salami, who hailed from Ihima in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, was laid to rest at the Gudu Cemetery in Abuja, following Islamic rites. Her contributions to journalism and the society at large remain a beacon of excellence and selflessness.
