NECO 2025: Kogi Announces Verification Exercise

The Kogi State Ministry of Education has announced the commencement of a verification exercise for candidates who registered for the 2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and other related council matters.

According to a circular signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Musa Solomon, the verification exercise will hold across the three senatorial districts of the state between Monday, 3rd November and Thursday, 6th November 2025.

The Ministry stated that the exercise was aimed at ensuring transparency, proper documentation and the authenticity of candidates registered for the 2025 NECO examination across Kogi State.

“The verification exercise will take place across the three senatorial districts of the state, beginning from Kogi East on Monday, 3rd November, at Our Lady of Schools (OLS), Anyigba; Kogi West on Tuesday, 4th November, at St. Augustine College, Kabba; and Kogi Central on Wednesday, 5th November, at AAMCO, Okene. The verification for Lokoja and Kogi (Combined) will hold on Thursday, 6th November, at Bishop Delisle College, Lokoja. All sessions commence at 10am,

Schools are expected to attend the verification exercise with the 2025 NECO Clearance Form issued by the Ministry, the 2025 NECO Entry Schedule, and the 2023 BECE Result,” Circular stated.

The Ministry further directed all Area Evaluators (AEE’s) and NAPPS Chairmen to inform school principals within their jurisdictions to be present, emphasizing that attendance is mandatory for all concerned.

“All AEE’s are also expected to present a comprehensive list of both public and private schools within their areas,” the circular added.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining high standards in the education sector and ensuring that all schools under its supervision comply with laid down regulations.
