The Special Adviser on Media to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, has been honoured by the National Association of Ebira Students (NAES) with an Award of Visionary Leadership. Exceptional Public Service, and Dedication to Human Capital Development.
The award was conferred on him during the association’s annual students’ week, which focused on inspiring students to remain committed to education and positive societal values.
Hon. Isah, a veteran media practitioner and advocate of youth development, was celebrated for his long-standing mentorship and consistent contribution to the growth of students and young people within and beyond Ebiraland.
The award highlights his decades-long involvement with NAES, dating back to his tenure as National Secretary in 2001, which served as a foundation for the association’s revival after nearly a decade of dormancy.
Speaking at the event, the National President of NAES, Comrade Lucky Anowuda, commended Hon. Isah for his exceptional commitment to students’ welfare and for being a pillar of support to the association over the years.
He noted that Isah’s vision for education and youth advancement continues to inspire generations of Ebira students.
Beyond his political and professional engagements, Hon. Isah is also the co-founder and pioneer President of Corps D’ Progressives, a non-governmental organization founded over 25 years ago to champion youth education and human capital development in Kogi Central.
The organization has continued to serve as a platform for empowering young people through scholarships, mentorship programmes, and support for schools.
Reacting to the recognition, Hon. Isah expressed gratitude to NAES for the recognition, dedicating the award to “every young person who believes in education as a tool for liberation and progress.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting indigent students and providing opportunities that will help them realize their goals in life.
