Matthijs de Ligt headed deep into to stoppage time to rescue a point for Manchester United in an entertaining Premier League clash away at spurs.

Brazilian striker, Richarlison seemed to have strike a decisive winner for Tottenham, heading home off Wilson odobert’s long range effort, leaving Lammens rooted to his spot after it looked like the visitors had done enough to secure the win. But the entertaing encounter still have room for late drama which earned Utd a crucial lifeline.

Earlier in the first half, Bryan Mbeumo had given Manchester United a commanding lead after he connected with Amad Diallo’s excellent cross from the right flank to head home.

In the second half, spurs took active flow of United’s disjointed midfield, Goalkeeper Lammens was instrumental in preserving United slim advantage, as he was called into action twice, coming big to deny Tottenham’s Romero and Van de Ven.

However, the tension at the Spurs stadium took a twist when boos that greeted Mathys Tel’s substitution for Xavi Simons turned into a resounding cheers Six minutes later, Tel received a cross from the left, skillfully turning matthijs De Ligt’s in and out before hammering a wonderful strike past Lammens.

Moments Later, Benjamin Sesko was presented with a chance to restore Manchester United lead, but he was unable to control the ball quickly enough, as Van de ven made a last ditch tackle to steal the ball away from him. Later on, Sesko left the pitch injured, leaving Amorim’s men to play the entire remaining minutes with ten-men.

Spurs relentless press finally proved a point as Richarlison who has faced criticism from fans and pundits flick on an odobert’s long range shot, last Lammens to stage a dramatic comeback for Spurs. Minutes after he thought he had grabbed all 3 points for spurs, De Ligt came in at the back post to snatch the final decisive goal.

The final whistle was greeted with utter disbelief from the entire spurs backroom staff, Richarlison who celebrated his goal full of emotions, was visibly seen in tears after he realised his goal couldn’t help Tottenham grasp the win.

Manchester United will be disappointed about the draw in a game they felt they had the majority of the ball possession, before they were reduced to 10- men after Benjamin Sesko’s injury.

Manchester United still remain winless in their Last Five games with Tottenham, with 4 losses and a draw, including the one nil defeat in last season Uefa Europa League Final.
