Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) in collaboration with Kogi State CARES (KG-CARES) has conducted a comprehensive inspection of projects across various communities in Kogi State to ensure transparency, accountability, and progress in the implementation of their ongoing development programs.
The inspection team visited several intervention sites, including a hand pump borehole, a school science laboratory, a community healthcare facility, a cassava and gari processing factory, and multiple Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) benefiting from livelihood and business support under the NG-CARES program across Kogi State
The visit aimed to assess the impact and sustainability of the projects, as well as to engage with beneficiaries to ensure that the initiatives are meeting their intended objectives.
Representatives from NG-CARES and KG-CARES emphasized that the program is results-driven, with a strong focus on transparency, community engagement, and sustainable recovery.
They reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting the most affected populations while promoting inclusive economic growth and resilience.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support received, noting that the interventions have significantly improved their sources of income and living conditions.
The NG-CARES and KG-CARES teams reaffirmed their resolve to continue monitoring and evaluating project outcomes to ensure that all interventions deliver tangible and lasting benefits to communities across Kogi State.
