2Baba’s Wife, Natasha Osawaru, Faces Probe as Edo Assembly Summons Her Over Misconduct Claims

The Edo State House of Assembly has initiated a probe into Hon. Natasha Osawaru Irobosa, wife of music icon Tuface Idibia (2Baba), following allegations of misconduct said to have brought the Assembly into disrepute.

This was made known during Tuesday’s plenary session, where the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, raised concerns that the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency has been “trending negatively in the media,” stressing the need for accountability.

Speaking at the session, the Speaker emphasised the importance of upholding the integrity of the legislative body, noting that public controversies involving members require immediate clarification to protect the image of the House.

He directed Hon. Natasha Osawaru to appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week to respond to the allegations and “show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against her.”

The committee was also mandated to carry out a detailed investigation and submit its findings to the House within two weeks for further legislative action.
