NFF Dismisses Report on Fresh Demands by Coach Eric Chelle

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed a trending report which claimed Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, has made some fresh demands as a condition to continue tinkering with the team.

According to a publicised report which went viral on social media, Chelle, who reportedly earns about $50,000 per month, is said to have asked the NFF for a new contract which includes a monthly earning of $130,000.

The report also claimed he demanded contracts for his technical staff, a private SUV with a chauffeur and security detail, a secure residence with a guaranteed 24-hour power supply, fully furnished office equipped with a projector for analysis and internet access, business class flight tickets for his wife and himself, with economy class for his two children, GPS provision and the supply of appropriate coaching equipment.

However, when approached for comment on the report, the NFF’s Director of Communication, Ademola Olajire, refuted the claims.
“Sincerely, I am not aware,” he stated as reported by Leadership.

Mr Ademola, NFF’s Director of Communication, reaffirmed the federation’s trust in Eric Chelle, noting that progress has been made in handling the Mali-born gaffer’s new contract.
