Man City in Talks With Premier League Over Fixture Changes

Manchester City are in discussions with the Premier League over possible changes to two of their remaining fixtures as the season reaches its final stages.

The proposed adjustments are linked to City’s involvement in the FA Cup final, which has created a scheduling conflict during a crucial period in the Premier League title race.

City’s away match against Bournemouth, originally set for May 17, is likely to be moved because it clashes with the FA Cup final at Wembley on the same day.

Meanwhile, City’s postponed home fixture against Crystal Palace has still not been given a new date by the Premier League.

One option being considered would see Crystal Palace play at the Etihad Stadium on May 13, before City travel to Bournemouth on May 19. If approved, City would face three important matches within seven days, including the FA Cup final.

Another possible arrangement could have City play Bournemouth on May 12 and Crystal Palace on May 19. This schedule would give Pep Guardiola’s side an extra day to recover before the cup final and allow them to finish the league season with two home matches.

However, UEFA competition schedules are limiting the available dates, making it difficult for the Premier League to finalise the fixtures.

The developments are also attracting attention from Arsenal, who remain in a close title race with Manchester City. With only a few games left, fixture timing and recovery periods could play a major role in deciding the Premier League champion.

The Premier League is expected to confirm the final schedule soon as talks continue between all parties involved.
