Ododo’s Counter-Terrorism Efforts Tops Lugard House Monthly

The May/June 2026 edition of Lugard House Monthly, the official newsletter of the Kogi State Government, now in it’s 11th edition has placed strong emphasis on the counter-terrorism operations and broader efforts to strengthen security across the state by the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

This edition captures ongoing security operations aimed at tackling banditry, kidnapping and stemming the tide of other criminal activities, with coordinated efforts by security agencies to protect lives and property and sustain peace across Kogi State.

The focus on counter-terrorism reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring that criminal elements are denied operational space, while strengthening public confidence in the state’s security architecture.

This edition also showcases the humanitarian and social inclusion initiatives of the First Lady of Kogi State, Her Excellency Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, particularly her interventions in the welfare of women, children, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups through empowerment and support for businesses and medical needs.

While security remains the central focus of this edition, the publication equally reflects government efforts in promoting inclusive development and improving the wellbeing of citizens across the state.

The 11th edition also features a unique inclusion which is the Readers’ Corner that enables the Editorial Board to receive feedbacks from members of the public on the programmes, policies and projects of the administration aimed at advancing socio-economic development and improving service delivery in different parts of the state.

Lugard House Monthly continues to serve as a platform for documenting activities of the Kogi State Government and strengthening public communication one edition at a time.
