The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, has joined other Vice-Chancellors from across Nigeria on a Study Tour and Knowledge Exchange Programme at University College Dublin, Ireland.
This was contained in a statement issued by the University’s Information, Public Relations and Protocol Unit.
According to the statement, the programme, organised by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) under the theme Education Without Borders, was held from June 22 to June 26, 2026.
It stated that the international engagement brought together Vice-Chancellors, university administrators and higher education experts from Nigeria and other parts of the world to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore emerging trends shaping global higher education.
It added that the study tour exposed participants to innovative approaches in university governance, research collaboration, internationalisation, curriculum development, digital transformation and sustainable funding models for higher education institutions.
The statement noted that, Prof. Salawu described the programme as a valuable opportunity whose outcome would strengthen CUSTECH’s academic programmes, enhance research output and improve institutional effectiveness.
The Vice-Chancellor also said the exposure to global best practices would enable CUSTECH to consolidate its position as one of Nigeria’s fastest growing institutions while producing globally competitive graduates capable of addressing contemporary societal challenges.
According to the statement, Prof. Salawu added that the international knowledge exchange aligns with CUSTECH’s vision of fostering innovation, advancing cutting-edge research and contributing meaningfully to sustainable national development through quality education.
