Professor Ibileye Appoints Ahmed Mu’azu to Oversee FUL Transport Operations

Federal University Lokoja (FUL) has appointed Mr. Ahmed Mu’azu as its new Transport Officer, with the appointment approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye. The appointment took effect on June 24, 2026.

In the appointment letter, the Vice-Chancellor charged Mr. Mu’azu to justify the confidence reposed in him by discharging his responsibilities with professionalism, diligence, integrity, accountability and dedication.

Professor Ibileye noted that an effective transport system is essential to the smooth running of the University and urged the new Transport Officer to ensure efficient transportation services while addressing transport-related challenges across the institution.

Reacting to his appointment, Mr. Mu’azu expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for the confidence placed in him.

He described the appointment as a call to greater service and pledged to perform his duties with commitment, integrity and professionalism.

“I sincerely appreciate the Vice-Chancellor and the University Management for considering me worthy of this responsibility. I see this appointment as an opportunity to contribute more meaningfully to the growth of the University. I will do my utmost to ensure that our transport system remains efficient, reliable and responsive to the needs of staff and students,” he said.

According to the appointment letter, Mr. Mu’azu will report directly to the Director of Works and Maintenance Services and is expected to submit weekly reports on the management and utilization of the University’s vehicles.

The University Management congratulated the new Transport Officer and wished him a successful and impactful tenure.
