Kogi Establishes Livestock Ministry in Landmark Move

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has announced the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development to strengthen livestock management and agriculture in the state. The new ministry, effective immediately, aligns with the federal government’s renewed hope agenda under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, emphasized that the initiative is aimed at addressing critical livestock issues and supporting sustainable development in Kogi’s agricultural sector. The ministry is expected to enhance productivity and improve economic opportunities for farmers and livestock stakeholders.
