The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 339 suspects and seized 7,746.896 kilogrammes of assorted illicit drugs in Kogi State. This was disclosed on Friday by the Kogi State Commander of the NDLEA, Assistant Commander General of Narcotics, Mustapha Yahuza. According to the statement, the seizures included cannabis, cocaine, tramadol and other psychotropic substances, while the command also secured 80 convictions with varying jail terms. Yahuza noted that the command intensified efforts in drug demand reduction through drug abuse preventive education and the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) campaign, carrying out 71 sensitisation programmes across motor parks, schools, markets, mosques and churches.
