The Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency, in collaboration with the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board, convened its quarterly review meeting with the management teams of all secondary health facilities across the state. The stakeholders meeting which attracted over 200 participants in attendance was to review challenges affecting health care facilities and discuss strategies for sustaining best practices in hospital operations and service delivery. Speaking during the session, the Executive Secretary of Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supply Management Agency, Pharmacist Salamat Ibrahim, encouraged pharmaceutical companies to introduce products that would improve patient adherence, particularly for individuals on multiple drug therapies. The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has suspended operations on the Warri-Itakpe over operational exigencies and technical advice from its engineers. This was disclosed by the Corporation in a statement issued on Monday, May 25, 2026. According to the NRC, the decision was necessary to ensure continued safety, reliability and improved service delivery for passengers using the corridor. “The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) wishes to inform the general public and esteemed passengers that the Warri-Itakpe Train Service (WITS) has been temporarily suspended due to operational exigencies and technical advice from our Engineers,” the statement read.
