The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has warned 1,068 retrained police constables to desist from acts of professional misconduct. He gave the warning at the passing-out parade of retrained constables at the Police Mobile Force Base, 26 PMF, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Disu said any officer caught misusing a weapon or killing without lawful justification would be dismissed or prosecuted. He added that the era of impunity is over, stressing that their uniform is not a shield from justice. “Impunity ends now.
