In a statement by Switzerland Foreign Ministry, the signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 at the mountainside Burgenstock resort in Switzerland. The ministry said the location was proposed by the Pakistani and Qatari mediators, as well as by the US and Iran. It added that Switzerland is acting as a facilitator, creating the practical and diplomatic conditions necessary for the meeting to take place on its territory. The Kogi State Government has restated its ban on excessive graduation ceremonies in nursery, primary, and junior secondary schools, as well as sign-out ceremonies organised by students after their final semester examinations across the state. The Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, disclosed this on Monday at a stakeholders’ sensitisation meeting on 2025/2026 Kogi State Annual School Census exercise held at the Government House, Lokoja.
