Kogi Government Launches Governance Delivery Unit

The Kogi State Government has inaugurated the Governance Delivery Unit, a strategic initiative aimed at fostering accountability, transparency, and effective service delivery. The launch, held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Lokoja, was organized in collaboration with PricewaterhouseCoopers and attended by key stakeholders.

Representing Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike, emphasized the administration’s commitment to progressive growth and development. She urged political appointees to view their positions as avenues to serve the people diligently, announcing an annual performance review mechanism for ministries, departments, and agencies to evaluate their contributions toward governance objectives.

He explained that the plan is anchored on three pillars: building resilience, fostering prosperity, and providing strategic direction for Kogi’s growth.

The Chief Economic Adviser to the State Government, Hon. Indah Aliu Salami, stressed the Unit’s role in ensuring the seamless implementation of government policies and programs.
