The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf, has extended New Year greetings to the people of Kogi State, Nigerians, and the global community. In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed, the Speaker expressed hope that 2025 would bring success and joy to all.
Rt Hon Umar commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, wishing him wisdom and resources to continue driving progress and development across the state. He also extended New Year wishes to the deputy governor, the deputy speaker, principal officers, and members of the state’s executive, legislative, and judicial arms.
In his message, the Speaker called on citizens to remain patriotic and supportive of government policies and programmes. He emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in advancing the state and nation.
He further assured that under his leadership, the State House of Assembly would continue to enact legislation aimed at improving the lives of Kogi residents. Representing all 25 constituencies, the Assembly remains committed to progress and prosperity.
Rt Hon Umar concluded by urging the people to be good representatives of their communities and work together for a brighter future.
