At the Kogi Student Leadership Summit, held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja, Hon. Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, was recognized for his role in enhancing communication between the government and the students’ movement in Kogi State.
The event, organized by the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS), brought together key stakeholders to celebrate individuals who have contributed to the development of the student movement and youth empowerment.

Speaking at the event, NAKOSS National President, Comrade Jeremiah Elukpo, commended Hon. Isah for his dedication to keeping students informed about government policies, scholarships, and education-focused programmes of the government.
According to him, Isah’s efforts have helped ensure transparency in governance and created a platform where students can engage with policymakers.
In response, Hon. Isah expressed gratitude to NAKOSS for the recognition, stating that Governor Ododo’s administration remains committed to students’ welfare and the development of education in the state.
He stated that his office would continue to serve as a bridge between the student community and the government.
“We recognize the importance of students engagement, and we will ensure that students and youth remain active participants in governance,” he said.

Student leaders at the event highlighted Isah’s responsiveness to student concerns and his use of media platforms to amplify their voices.
Comrade Victor Kpanaki , a student representative, noted that the SA Media has played a key role in relaying student issues to relevant authorities.
“Through his efforts, students now have better access to information and direct communication with government officials,” he stated.
The event concluded with a renewed call for continuous dialogue between the government and students, reinforcing the importance of media in governance.
