NIPR Commends Kogi’s Annual Media Report, Urges Continued Excellence in Public Communication

President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, has commended the Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor, Ismaila Isah for the state’s recently unveiled annual media report, describing it as both “innovative and exemplary.”

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Spokespersons’ Summit and Awards (NSAwards), held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, Dr. Neliaku noted that the report reflects a growing commitment to professionalism, creativity, and strategic public engagement in governance.

According to him, the Kogi annual media report aligns perfectly with the objectives of the NSAwards, which seek to honor individuals and institutions that uphold excellence, originality, and ethical standards in communication across Nigeria’s public and private sectors.

Dr. Neliaku emphasized the importance of effective public communication in building trust and positively shaping the image of government.

He said the detailed and transparent nature of Kogi’s report serves as a model that other states and agencies should consider replicating.

“NIPR is proud to support and recognize outstanding work in public relations,” he said. “Kogi’s media report is not just a performance record, it is a blueprint for impactful communication.”

The report, which detailed the activities, achievements, and communication strategies of the Kogi State Government over the past year, was lauded for its clarity, accessibility, and data-driven approach.
