From Training to Transformation: Kabba-Bunu Youth Empowered

In a bid to boost safety and development, Hon. (Arc.) Salman Idris FNIA has empowered 100 youths and women in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu, championing a vision that moves from training to transformation in the fight against insecurity.

The initiative, which was held on Friday, 9th May 2025, took place at the Anglican Cathedral Hall in Kabba and brought together 100 carefully selected beneficiaries from across the constituency.

Organized in partnership with Arcad Projects Limited and facilitated by the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), Ilorin, the one-day intensive training focused on equipping participants with knowledge on conflict resolution, community policing, and self-defense—key strategies for enhancing grassroots security.

In addition to the security training, each participant received a grant of One Hundred Thousand Naira (₦100,000) as part of the empowerment aspect of the program. This financial support is intended to help them launch or strengthen small-scale businesses, thereby reducing economic vulnerability and the likelihood of being drawn into criminal activities.
