Ododo Hails Tinubu at Two-Year Milestone

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as transformative and courageous leadership as the President marks two years in office.

In a press release signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo praised the President’s efforts in steering Nigeria through major economic reforms and fostering national resilience.

Governor Ododo noted that President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda has redefined governance and ignited a renewed sense of purpose across Nigeria. He highlighted critical reforms including the removal of fuel subsidy, unification of exchange rates, and fiscal policy adjustments as pivotal decisions that are now yielding visible results in terms of economic stabilization and investor confidence.

Describing the second year of Tinubu’s administration as a “season of harvest,” the governor emphasized that Nigerians are beginning to experience the positive impact of earlier tough policy choices.

He pointed to the strengthening of macroeconomic indicators, growth in non-oil revenue, and heightened private sector interest in key areas such as agriculture, gas, and digital technology.

Governor Ododo also praised federal initiatives such as the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, and infrastructure development programs, saying they reflect a strategic long-term vision for Nigeria’s prosperity.

He reiterated Kogi State’s alignment with the national agenda, especially in the areas of infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment.

He further announced that Kogi State is actively supporting the clean energy transition, training youths in CNG conversion technology, and preparing to roll out intra-city bus services in the state capital. These efforts, he said, are designed to create jobs, reduce emissions, and improve urban mobility under the broader Renewed Hope vision.

Governor Ododo concluded by reaffirming his administration’s commitment to deepening the impact of federal reforms at the grassroots. “We stand firmly with President Tinubu as he builds a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Nigeria. His courage and foresight continue to inspire hope in every corner of our country,” the statement read.
