Gov. Ododo’s Hands-On Leadership Earning Results – Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami

Kogi State’s governance is drawing commendations from traditional institutions, as the Ohi Otenyiete of Ebiraland, Alhaji Isa Ozi Salami, has hailed the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for its visible developmental strides and effective oversight.

The respected elder statesman made these remarks during a courtesy visit to the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, in Lokoja.

Speaking on the occasion, Alhaji Ozi Salami expressed satisfaction with the pace of development across the state under the current administration, citing road construction, healthcare delivery, clean water provision, and other infrastructure as evidence of real progress.

He emphasized that the results are tangible and go beyond political rhetoric. “This is not politics. It is what people can see for themselves,” he stated.

The traditional leader particularly praised Governor Ododo’s method of active supervision, which he described as critical to the success of ongoing projects. According to him, the governor’s habit of following up on directives has ensured accountability among government appointees and civil servants.

“When a leader gives an order and goes to sleep, things go wrong. But this governor checks back,” he noted.

Alhaji Salami also acknowledged the quality of personnel appointed into public offices, commending the administration for empowering capable hands and allowing them the independence to execute their duties effectively. He noted that such a governance structure fosters responsibility and results, helping to strengthen institutions in the state.

The elder statesman did not leave out the role of the media in projecting government efforts. He lauded LugardTV, an online media platform, for its professionalism and robust coverage of state activities. He described the media house as a modern and efficient outlet, contributing significantly to public awareness about government programs and achievements.

In his response, Hon. Ismaila Isah expressed gratitude for the visit and the encouraging words, noting that the media team remains committed to professionalism and ethical reporting.

He assured that the administration’s media apparatus would continue to reflect the true picture of governance in the state and amplify the governor’s developmental agenda.
