Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has demonstrated his administration’s commitment to grassroots development, following recent visits to Ozuma, Ebiya, and Otutu communities in Okene and Ajaokuta Local Government Areas.
During a visit to Ozuma Community in Okene LGA, Accountant General Dr. Habibat Tijjani, who represented the Governor, delivered a brand-new electricity transformer donated by the state government to address the community’s long-standing power supply challenges.
The Governor while commissioning the project, said the intervention aligns with administration’s agenda for inclusion and grassroots development by bridging infrastructure gap in underserved areas.
“Access to stable electricity will enhance quality of life, boost local businesses, improve education, and create safer, more productive communities,” she noted.
Speaking on behalf of the residents Mallam Salihu Ozuma, described the transformer as “a light in a long-standing darkness” and lauded the proactive approach of the administration to community needs.
In Otutu and Orietesu wards, Okene local government area, Governor Ododo acknowledged the community’s loyalty and urged sustained collaboration with the state government.
She emphasized that these community engagements are key to understanding local challenges and delivering targeted solutions.
In a related development, Dr. Tijjani, also represented the Governor on a visit to Ebiya Community in Ajaokuta local government to thank residents for their support for the administration assuring them of the state government’s continued focus on inclusive governance and infrastructural development.
