U.S. Withdraws from UNESCO Over Alleged Bias, Divisive Global Agenda

The United States Government has officially announced its withdrawal from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), citing concerns over alleged bias against Israel and the promotion of what it called divisive global agendas.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by State Department Spokeswoman Tammy Bruce, who emphasized that continued U.S. participation in UNESCO was no longer in the country’s national interest.

According to Bruce, the decision aligns with the stance of President Donald Trump, who initially withdrew the U.S. from the organization during his first term in 2017. The U.S. had rejoined under President Joe Biden before the latest move to exit was reaffirmed by the Trump administration.

“UNESCO works to advance divisive social and cultural causes and maintains an outsized focus on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, a globalist, ideological agenda for international development at odds with our America First foreign policy,” she said.

She further criticized the organization’s decision to admit the “State of Palestine” as a full member, describing it as a direct contradiction of U.S. foreign policy and a catalyst for increased anti-Israel rhetoric within the agency.

Bruce reiterated that UNESCO’s agenda does not align with the current administration’s vision for international engagement, especially concerning national sovereignty and cultural representation.
