Also, speaking the Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Lokoja (FUL), Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi represented by Director Centre for Safety Management, Faculty of Engeering, FUL, Engr. Monday Abutu commended the growth of LugardTV and assured of continued partnership with the platform.

He noted that more students would be undertaking their internship programmes with the platform.

Similarly, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Prof. Usman Ogbo represented by Wale Mustapha from the Directorate of Public Relations welcomed the partnership, saying that access to both print and electronic form of government publications would greatly assist students in their research.

He stressed that stronger collaboration between LugardTV, the National Library, and academic institutions would help bridge learning gaps and enhance practical exposure for students.

In his remarks, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explained that government’s media engagement has grown significantly in the past year.

According to him, the state’s monthly media performance reports has risen from an average of 250 to 320 mentions to between 400 to 600 mentions monthly.

“There is hardly any state that is more reported than Kogi State from the time we have been here because of the volume of media coverage and our ability to track reports across all platforms,” he said.

Hon. Isah disclosed that his office recently obtained an ISBN number for its annual media report, which would now be deposited with the National Library of Nigeria along with Lugard Monthly Newsletter.

He added that the monthly newsletter would also be made available to libraries in partner institutions to give students access to information about activities of the government.
