Gov Ododo Vows to Rescue Abducted District Head, Apprehend Perpetrators

‎Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed security agencies to ensure the swift rescue of the District Head of Bagaji Ado in Omala Local Government Area of Kogi State, David Wada, who was abducted by gunmen.

‎The governor also ordered that the perpetrators be tracked down and brought to justice.

‎In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, the state government assured that efforts are underway to rescue the traditional ruler unhurt.

‎Fanwo noted that security agencies have also been tasked to intensify surveillance in flashpoint areas to curb such criminal activities.

‎“The Government of Kogi State will continue to prioritize the safety of lives and property of residents and make the State uninhabitable for criminals. In line with our public communication integrity, we will keep the public informed of updates on this matter,” he said.

‎The government further appealed to residents to provide credible intelligence to security agencies to aid in the rescue operation.
