The Chief Whip of the Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Adavi state constituency, Hon. Asema Haruna, has hosted a youth and women empowerment programme alongside the commissioning of three motorized boreholes within his constituency.
The lawmaker described the event, held in Ogaminana as a gesture of gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the people of Adavi for entrusting
him with the mandate to represent them at the State House of Assembly.
Hon. Asema noted that the initiative was part of his commitment to give back to his people and improve their living standards.
He maintained that access to clean water and empowerment opportunities remain critical needs at the grassroots.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his dedication to grassroots development, pledging to continue delivering tangible projects that address the needs of his constituents.
Community members and beneficiaries lauded the projects, describing it as direct impact of people-centered representation.
Similarly, women and youths in the community, expressed optimism that the empowerment scheme would boost livelihoods, while the boreholes would ease the challenge of access to potable water.
