Ododo Appoints New KOSEPA GM, Chairs Climate Change Agency Board

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Dr. Habib Aliu as the new General Manager of the Kogi State Environmental Protection Agency (KOSEPA).

‎Dr. Aliu takes over from Hon. Samari Abdullumalik Teina, whose tenure as GM has ended. The announcement was contained in a statement released on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade.

‎In a related development, Governor Ododo also approved the constitution of the Kogi State Climate Change Agency, which he will chair, with the Deputy Governor serving as Vice Chairman.

‎The Special Adviser on Climate Change, Michael Onimisi Ajibade, has been redeployed as the pioneer Director General of the new agency.

‎Other members of the board include Mrs. Alabi E. Bridget, representing the Ministry of Environment; Bello Ivaje Joseph, representing the Ministry of Finance; Eziekel Amana Ejija, representing the Ministry of Transport; and Barr. Audu Abdulmumin Omeiza, representing the Ministry of Justice. Comrade Hamza Aliyu will represent non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
