Techefiko Honours Lugard TV for Supporting Youth Empowerment Initiative

A Non-profit organization, Techefiko, a non-profit organization, has expressed appreciation to the management of Lugard TV for its collaboration and support during the Independence Day Tech and Sports event held in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The event, which marked Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary, brought together young people, students, military personnel, and corps members under the theme “Empowering Youth and Celebrating Freedom through Innovation and Sportsmanship.”

Techefiko’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Yomi Odunsi, represented by Azeezat Ballo presented an award of excellence to the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Honourable Ismaila Isah, on behalf of Lugard TV.

He said the award recognized exemplary leadership, support, and commitment to youth empowerment through technology and sports as demonstrated during the 2025 Independence Day celebration.

The group also delivered a letter of appreciation through which it commended Lugard TV’s professionalism, visibility, and extensive media coverage, which they said helped to amplify Techefiko’s impact and inspired youth participation in innovation and digital inclusion.

In his response, Hon. Ismaila Isah expressed gratitude for the recognition, affirming Lugard TV’s dedication to supporting youth-driven initiatives.

“We understand your passion for youth development and inclusion in nation-building. We are grateful to be considered a worthy partner,” he said.
