KSFSSA Hails ECN DG, Abdullahi for Transformative Reforms in Nigeria’s Energy Sector

Kogi State Forum of Senior Special Assistants to the Governor (KSFSSA) has applauded the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha, for his visionary and reform-driven leadership as he marks two years in office.

Speaking at the press conference held on Thursday at the Kogi State Press Centre, Government House, Lokoja, the forum extolled Dr. Abdullahi’s two years in office as a milestone of purposeful leadership, strategic reforms, and transformative impact that have strengthened Nigeria’s pursuit of energy security and sustainability.

Hon. Joseph Omeiza, who spoke for the Forum, described Dr. Abdullahi as a results-oriented reformer whose strategic leadership has strengthened the Energy Commission’s capacity to drive sustainable energy growth across the country.

He noted that the ECN under his stewardship has achieved significant milestones in renewable energy development, policy formulation, and nationwide access to sustainable power solutions.

“Dr. Abdullahi Mustapha has not only repositioned the Energy Commission but has also made energy more accessible and sustainable for everyday Nigerians, aligning the Commission’s work with global best practices,” Omeiza stated.

He added that the DG’s initiatives have advanced Nigeria’s energy transition goals and contributed meaningfully to national development.

Omeiza further praised Dr. Abdullahi’s emphasis on human capital development and institutional reforms, noting that his leadership has empowered young professionals and promoted innovation-driven solutions across the energy value chain.

“His tenure has been a beacon of hope and inspiration for public servants who aspire to serve with integrity, accountability, and vision,” he said.
